INNOSERV International Workshop in Brussels

17.05.2013 event

The INNOSERV Consortium is organising a high level expert meeting in Brussels to assess the status quo and identify future challenges, trends and research gaps related to innovation in the social service sector. The meeting is organised in the framework of the FP7 project INNOSERV, which aims at developing better knowledge about the drivers and barriers of innovation in the social service sector and at delivering an agenda for future research activities in the field of social services. The concept of social innovation has recently received significant attention within the Europe 2020 Strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. In the social service sector, social innovation means new practices, policies or processes to meet social needs and address social challenges. In an interactive workshop, high level experts and academic researchers will gather to link up empirical evidences with the theoretical discourse and identify future scenarios and new research problems related to social service planning, provision and evaluation. Participation in this workshop is free of charge and by invitation only, please contact Elsa Laino ( as soon as possible.
